I think my toenail is falling off?

It's my pinky toe, I stub it often but this is the first time it's began to fall off (If it is). It isn't bruised or anything, and it hasn't completely even come out of the bed yet, its just really wiggly and it hurts. We don't have the money to go to a doctor right now so I'm just wondering what to do (Non doctoral care (?)) when it does come off. Should I just pull it out when it gets looser? The cuticle is loose with it so if I did pull it out after it got looser it wouldn't pull on the cuticle.
